Uaneen Module
Marking Scheme
Successful applicants will be awarded a separate certificate to their degree parchment at the Graduation Ceremony. If you choose the Uaneen Module as one of your elective modules, with a credit value of 5 credits it contributes to the final year award for a programme of study. If you choose it as an additional module with a 5 credit value, it does NOT contribute to the final degree award and must be taken in addition to the student’s other modules.
The grade awarded will depend on the level of involvement of the student throughout their academic career.

How will the Awards be assessed?
Portfolios are assessed by the Awards Board and an External Examiner. The Awards Board is made up of a cross section of staff from the University as well as an independent chairperson from IBEC. Students are advised to keep a log of activity and learning throughout their time of study at DCU and the portfolio is considered for an award in the final year of study at DCU. The President of DCU presents the awards for the Uaneen Module each year at Graduation. The certificate will be enclosed within the graduate’s degree parchment.
