The “We Volunteer!" Photographic Exhibition will be hosted in DCU Library from 14th - 17th February. Come along and see student volunteer stories from across Ireland including our very own Karina Korotkevica, from EPL3.

2011 has been designated by the EU as the European Year of Volunteering (EYV2011).
The objectives of EYV2011 are to:
- Create an enabling environment for volunteering
- Empower volunteer organisations
- Recognise volunteering activities
- Raise awareness about value & importance of volunteering
We Volunteer Photographic Exhibition
To celebrate the European Year of Volunteering 2011 Campus Engage, the national network for civic engagement in Irish higher education, is sponsoring a collaborative mobile photographic exhibition, "We Volunteer!" which will feature student volunteers from across Higher Education in Ireland. "We Volunteer!" will serve to highlight and promote student volunteering throughout 2011.
The photographic exhibition, "We Volunteer!" will be hosted at a number of locations nationwide (e.g. College campuses, key conferences and events) as well as at European locations. "We Volunteer!" will provide a great opportunity to showcase the wealth and diversity of volunteering thereby acknowledging the tremendous contribution students make within their communities. The exhibition is also an exciting way to share the myriad of benefits students experience from volunteering and inspire more and more people to volunteer.
"We Volunteer!" will:
- Celebrate, acknowledge and recognise the contribution of student volunteers
- Generate a shared connection for student volunteers across Ireland and Europe
- Provide an impetus for others to investigate voluntary opportunities for themselves.
