Management Although the
activities of the BEST Centre are spread over the four different sites,
it is run as a distributed network with a Director and also a Business
Administrator in-post. They are responsilbe for overseeing various research
projects and for liaising and negotiating with industry. They also ensure
the efficient and effective transfer of technology resulting from the collaborative
projects to industrial collaborators. The day-to-day co-ordination of the
various cross-campus elements of projects is carried out by a senior scientist
on each site.
A Management
Committee, comprising an industrial chairman, the Director and key representatives
from government, industry and the university partners, plans and oversees
the high level strategic and operational activities necessary for the successful
development of the centre.
