Death of Griffith

Curran says that Griffin had been placed in a private nursing home by his physician, Oliver St John Gogarty, after he had suffered a slight stroke in early August.  However, Griffith continued to work.  He says that Griffith had got very bitter towards the end – especially towards de Valera and quotes him as saying “de Valera is responsible for this – all of this. There would have been no trouble but for him”
