CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS

Industrial Economics, Industrial Agglomeration, Industrial Policy, Political Economy, European Integration.

These interests were actively pursued in 2007/8.  In particular, I worked on:

1) HILAS project – Human Interaction in the Lifecycle of Aviation Systems (with Dr Bernard Musyck, Nicosia, Cyprus)

2) Follow-on to the PILOT project - Policy and Innovation in Low Tech Industries (with Kevin Heanue, Rural Economy Research Centre, Athenry)

3) Cluster Development in North Dublin (with Helen McGrath)

5) Some problematic aspects of the Celtic Tiger (with Peadar Kirby and Deiric O’Broin)

6) Economic geography approaches to industrial location in the computer industry (with Dr Chris van Egeraat)

7) Aspects of Innovation in Industrial Districts (with Richard Langlois and Paul Robertson).
