Instructions on how to save references to RefWorks from library databases

American Institute of Physics import as text file - Click in the box to left of desired citations.
- Click Export Citations.
- Select RefWorks in the drop-down menu.
- Click Download. A browser window
   opens with the citation(s) formatted in
   RefWorks format.
- Use the browser's EDIT menu to
   SELECT ALL and COPY  
American Mathematical Society not currently enabled

American Physical Society import as text file 1. select View Citation As: Refworks and
    select and copy the text shown.
2. Go to RefWorks and click on
    References>Import.
3. In the Import filter / Data Source field,
    select RefWorks Tagged Format.
4. Paste the copied text into the Import
    Data from the following Text field and
    click on Import
American Society of Mechanical Engineers import as text file Mark the items you wish to export by clicking the checkbox in the browse screen.

On the "Article Options" dropdown box, choose "Download Citation(s) in Refworks,"then hit the Go button.

A new screen appears displaying the citation in RefWorks format. Using your browser's Save As function, save the resulting page as a text file to a local directory.

To import, choose RefWorks Tagged Format as the Import Filter and Tagged Format as the database. Browse for the appropriate file, attach it, then hit the Import button. The item is imported.

Analytical Abstracts import as text file Mark the references who wish to export.
Click on View Selected Records
Click on BibTex in Tools and Resources box
Save file on PC.

You will be prompted to save a text file. Save this text file to the desktop so you can import the file from RefWorks.

2. Click on Export Citation and save it as a text file to your Desktop.

3. Go to your Refworks account and click on References > Import.

4. In the Import Filter/Data Source field, select RIS format..

5. In the Database field, select <multiple databases>.

6. In the Import Data from the following Text File field, click on Browse and select the file you just saved to your desktop.

7. Click on Import.

2. Go to the Advanced features box on the right and select Download BibTex. Click on Go. Save the BibTex file to your Desktop.

3. Go to RefWorks and click on References > Import.

4. In the Import filter / Data Source field, select BibTex. In the Database field, select <multiple databases>.

5. In the Import Data from the following Text File field, click on Browse and select the BibTex file from your Desktop.

6. Click on Import.
