RefWorks Login

RefWorks was updated to RefWorks 2.0 in June 2011. The old version, RefWorks Classic, has ceased since December 2011

What is RefWorks?

RefWorks is a web-based citation manager. RefWorks allows you to compile, edit and format bibliographies by importing references directly from library databases, library catalogue, Google Scholar and websites or by entering them manually and inserting them into your finished paper in the citation style of your choice (eg. Harvard).

RefWorks is a great citing and referencing aid, but it is important that you understand the principles of citing and referencing first. The library promotes and supports the Harvard Style of Citing and Referencing which is commonly used in DCU. Take a look at the following;-
   -  LETS - library e-tutorial for students, the module LETScite covers citing and referencing,
plagiarism and using the Harvard Style of referencing.
   -  DCU Library Guide to Harvard Style of Citing and Referencing covers how to cite a
variety of sources and produce a reference list.

Saving references from library databases

Here is a list of all the library databases and instructions on how to import references into RefWorks.
