Theses and Dissertations
DCU Research Theses
The Library receives a print copy of all DCU Masters and Ph.D theses. Online copies (e-theses)
are available in DORAS, our institutional
Open Access Repository, from 2008.
Print theses are held at the Library Issue Desk and are available for consultation only and may not be borrowed.
Older theses are held in store and can be requested at the Library’s Information Desk.
DCU Taught Postgraduate Dissertations
Dissertations are available on the open shelves in the Reference area on the ground floor. They are shelved alphabetically by author’s surname.
How do I search for theses and dissertations?
DCU print theses and dissertations are listed in the
Library catalogue.
To find a thesis or dissertation on a particular topic, click on
more search options, enter your search term
in the "all of these words" option and highlight "theses" in the collections option.
This will ensure the catalogue limits your search to the theses and dissertation collection.
To produce a listing of all dissertations from a particular taught masters programme,
for example
MA in Communication and Cultural Studies, simply type: MA in Communication and Cultural Studies
in to the "all of these words" search box, and limit to "theses" collection.
Online DCU theses are available through
DORAS. If you search the catalogue for a
thesis and it is available online in DORAS, a direct link will be provided.
