Printing, photocopying and scanning will now be done on multifunction devices in the Library. Five multifunction machines (including 2 colour) are located in the area near the ISS Service Desk on the ground floor and one each on the first and second floors.  All machines do printing, copying and scanning. Payment is made online through the PaperCut system or by purchasing  top-up codes at the Issue Desk.

Printing in the Library

How do I print from PCs in the Library?

  • If you are a student you can print from any PC once you’ve logged in using your DCU Network username and password. This allows you to print to any of the multifunction machines on any floor of the Library.
  • Print jobs are submitted to a queue rather than a specific printer and you collect your print jobs from any of the devices in the library.   Simply touch your ID card on the Target on the machine and your print job list will appear.  Select PRINT ALL or select whichever job you want released
    • b/w print jobs can be collected from any multifunction device
    • colour print jobs can be collected ONLY from colour multifunction devices
  • Printing, photocopying and scanning work on a credit-based system. Top up your account balance online through the PaperCut print management system using a credit or laser card.
  • Top-up code vouchers are available to purchase in €2 or €5 units at the Issue desk

Can I print from my laptop?

Yes.  Full details and video instructions are here
