Started as a knitting machine business but diversified into camera support

Reasonably priced, good quality speaker systems. Produces the Harman Kardon
translucent systems for the Mac as well as other 'unusual' designs for
Mac and PC i.e. the 'creature' satellite and subwoofer system as well

One of the top three Japanese camcorder manufacturers.
Often underestimated, but technically excellent products at good value
for money prices. Particularly strong in the professional (corporate)
and educational sector. Definately worth checking out the latest DV models,
some of which offer widescreen capability. Note the new HDV model, which
has great picture quality and can be connected via Firewire to your Mac.
JVC have plans to bring out more HDV camcorders within the coming year.
LaCie

A French company which produces well designed external hard drives, and
DVD machines. Hard drives come in both 400mbs and the newer 800mbs Firewire
varients. Capacities vary up to 1.5TB and are suitable for video storage
and backup. If you have to carry around video files between locations
then check out the Pocket drives, currently available up to 80GB and sporting
USB2 and Firewire connections.
Lowel Lighting

One of the main lighting manufacturers for the broadcast and professional
industry. Informative website with downloadable PDFs of the various models
available including, unusually, a full price list in dollars (will be
a guide to Euro prices).

many types of low cost digital video boards, mostly for the PC market.
