Access Orientation 2026

Information on DCU Access Orientation 2026

Students entering DCU via the Higher Access Entry Route (HEAR) and the Access DCU Entry Route (ADER) are required to complete a one-day Access Orientation Programme.

Access Orientation details 2026

DCU Access (HEAR) Orientation takes place the week before the main DCU Orientation. This year, it will be held as follows. 

  • Students studying on St Patrick's Campus, Orientation: Early September Date TBC , 2025
  • Students studying on the Glasnevin Campus, Orientation: Early September Date TBC, 2025

 

What is the Access Orientation?

The primary objective of the Access Orientation Programme is to assist students who entered DCU through the HEAR route in adjusting to third-level learning. The programme focuses on forming friendships, familiarising students with the DCU campus, introducing them to the DCU Access staff, and exploring all the support available at the university.
