Mature Student Entry Route

The Access Service supports undergraduate mature students.  Whether you are exploring your options or already studying at DCU, our team is here to help you succeed. 

1. Pre- Entry:  Our Community Outreach Officers can guide prospective mature students who meet our Access criteria and support them throughout the application process.  For information on undergraduate courses, you can consult our Undergraduate CAO hub where you can view our online prospectus and chat with current students on our Unibuddy platform.  If you are planning to apply to DCU by 1st February deadline, you will find information on the application process on our Step by Step guide.

  2. Our team of Access Service post-entry support officers support current mature students with their transition to third level education and during their degree.

• We run Head First, a summer transition programme designed to support you in your transition to third level education. 
• One-to-one check-ins and personalised advice
• Study skills and time management
• Navigating financial supports and funding options
