DCU Age-Friendly University Welcomes the University of Córdoba for a Cultural Exchange Week

Visitors from the University of Córdoba joined DCU Age-Friendly University for a five-day programme of campus visits, cultural activities, and shared learning.

DCU Age-Friendly University was pleased to welcome a group from the University of Córdoba, Spain, for a five-day cultural exchange programme this week.

The visit brought together a range of academic, cultural, and social activities that introduced participants to university life at DCU and supported learning through international exchange.

During the week, the group visited DCU’s campuses and learned more about the university’s history, development, and academic environment. The programme included music sessions, giving visitors an opportunity to experience another part of Irish cultural life in an engaging setting. A highlight of the week was Myra Gleeson’s presentation on the history of aviation in Ireland.  The visitors also attended a lifelong learning class led by Mary, who teaches Painting with Mary, one of DCU AFU’s lifelong learning programmes.

The visit reflected DCU Age-Friendly University’s commitment to international engagement, cultural exchange, and lifelong learning. DCU AFU extends its thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme and to the visitors from the University of Córdoba for their participation.
