DCU Age-Friendly University Welcomes University of Malaga Delegation
This week, DCU Age-Friendly University (AFU) is thrilled to host Erasmus+ Adult Education participants from the Universidad de Málaga (Spain) for a week of international knowledge and cultural exchange.
Their arrival on Tuesday coincided perfectly with the vibrant energy of DCU’s Orientation Week! It was truly inspiring to see our visitors immerse themselves in the bustling campus atmosphere, participating in event booths and sharing meaningful conversations with our new students. This beautiful intergenerational exchange is at the very heart of the AFU initiative.
The engagement visit officially kicked off with a warm welcome and campus tour led by Dr. Waqar Ahmed, who also delivered a session on the AFU initiative and the crucial importance of advocating for the rights of older people. In the afternoon, the group enjoyed a captivating lecture by Aoife Convery, exploring the rich artistic connections between Spain and Ireland.
We look forward to sharing more highlights as this week of cultural and academic collaboration continues!
