Student Mentoring at DCU
DCU Alumni in conjunction with DCU Careers Service co-ordinates the annual mentorship programme, in which Alumni are invited to re-connect with the DCU Community by mentoring a current student. The Structured Mentorship Programme for second-year students gives graduates the opportunity to share their skills and life-experience with a current student.
DCU Structured Mentorship Programme
The DCU Structured Mentorship Programme is a joint initiative, co-organised by DCU Alumni and the DCU Careers Service. The programme runs for six-months between October and March and pairs second-year students with alumni mentors for the purposes of careers and personal development. Alumni and students are matched based on their areas of professional expertise, DCU course and areas of interest. Alumni mentors are asked, if possible, to provide their student mentee with a work-shadowing day as part of the programme. Structured Mentorship involves a number of events for both mentors and mentees on-campus and is therefore ideal for graduates who are based in Dublin or nearby counties. Learn more...
