1986 Computer Applications Class Return after 40 Years!
We're all about connections in the DCU Alumni Office and there's no better connection than returning to campus after 40 years.
Alumni from the BSc Computer Applications class of 1986 reunited on campus on Friday, welcomed by DCU President Daire Keogh, DCU Alumni Relations Director Ross Munnelly and Head of the School of Computing Prof Andrew McCarren. The group was also joined by one of their former lecturers Professor Emeritus Michael Ryan.
Following a welcome reception, the group explored some of their old spaces on the campus and discovered some of the newer buildings such as Polaris, led by fourth-year student Melodie Aremu before lunch in the President's Lounge.
Our thanks to all the alumni, some travelling many miles to attend today, and especially to the organising committee: PJ Hough, Siobhán Clarke and Brian Martin for their hard work in gathering their class and bringing them together again to celebrate such a special milestone 🥂.
