DCU Summer Program for Autistic Students in July 2026

🎓 What is this programme?
It is a three-day event designed to give autistic students an "introductory experience" of college life. The goal is to make the transition to higher education feel less overwhelming.

📅 Key Information
Dates: 7th, 8th and 9th of July 2026
Times: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm daily.
Location: DCU Glasnevin Campus.
Cost: Free (including lunch and snacks)

✅ Who can attend?

You are eligible to register if you fall into one of these two groups:

  1. Current Students: You have completed your 5th or 6th year of secondary school.
  2. Young Adults: You are under 23 and considering going to college.

     

📝 What will happen there?

The program is facilitated by DCU staff and student ambassadors. You will learn about:

  • The social side of college and academic life
  • Find out what help is available for students
  • Get familiar with the physical layout of the campus
  • The lived experience of college from autistic students and staff
