Academic biography
- I teach Strategy and International Business at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at DCU Business School.
- In addition to the internationalisation of firms, my research focuses on the
strategic evolution of Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) and their subsidiaries, paying specific attention to:
Subsidiary Influence: How
subsidiaries leverage unique resource bundles to build power and actively shape strategy across MNEs.
Knowledge as a Strategic
Resource: The mechanisms through which subsidiaries capture and nurture local knowledge and learning to sustain long term operations.
Strategic Ambidexterity: How subsidiaries successfully pursue novel, explorative innovation paths while remaining aligned with corporate mandates and operational constraints.
- My research to date has been published in the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Journal of International Management, Technovation, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, Critical Perspectives on International Business, & Journal of Business Strategy.
- Additionally, my current role within DCUBS includes programme director for
the MSc Global Management (digital disruption).
