Academic biography
Dr Paolo Yaranon holds the position of Assistant Professor at Dublin City University Business School. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Work and Organisational Psychology from the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick in 2018, and he completed his Doctorate at the same institution in 2023, supported by the prestigious Kemmy Business School Dean’s scholarship. His doctoral dissertation examined the differential impacts of insider and outsider incivility on employee well-being, as well as the potential buffering effects of personal resources such as resilience and self-efficacy. His research focuses on interpersonal dynamics at work, workplace mistreatment, especially incivility, and aspects of occupational health psychology, including employee well-being, resilience, and workaholism.
Alongside his research responsibilities, Dr Yaranon maintains an active teaching portfolio and delivers lectures at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He currently teaches modules such as Introduction to People Management and Selection and Assessment, and has previously delivered modules including Organisational Behaviour and Learning and Development. He is also an engaged member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU). Additionally, he holds memberships with the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) and the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP).
Research interests
His research focuses on interpersonal dynamics at work, workplace mistreatment, especially incivility, and aspects of occupational health psychology, including employee well-being, resilience, and workaholism.
