Employers in Residence

New for 2022/2023!

DCU Careers Service will host employers over six weeks, commencing in October 2022 and running through to November. Our Employers in Residence events will involve employers having an information stand whereby you can meet with students interested in your organisation and answer any questions they may have. This will be informal, on a one-to-one or group basis as students will stop by between classes.  There will be six employers on campus each Tuesday and Wednesday between 11am-2pm. There is no cost to attend.


  • Provides engagement opportunities for you to meet with students interested in your organisation
  • Opportunity to speak with interested applicants
  • Create brand recognition
  • Share information about your organisation, industry and positions 
  • The format is exhibition style with each organisation having their own information stand and company representatives available to answer students' queries


  • Employers in Residence will take the form of Information Stands on DCU Campus. 
  • Over six weeks from October to November, there will be six employers each day on a Tuesday and Wednesday between 11am to 2pm (student timetable permitting).  
  • Employers will set up their own Information Stand ( standard size - penguin stand).
  • Employers will be organised on a sectoral basis, where possible, in a prime location on campus. 
  • Students stop by in between classes. This allows for a more targeted approach between students and employers.

Proposed Sectoral Schedule: (subject to student timetables confirmed)

  • Accounting & Finance - Tuesday 4 October & Wednesday 5th October
  • Law - Tuesday 11th October & Wednesday 12th October
  • Business, Management, Consulting, Marketing, Retail - Tuesday 18th October & Wednesday 19th October
  • IT - Tuesday 1st November & Wednesday 2nd November
  • Engineering - Tuesday 8th November & Wednesday 9th November
  • Science & Pharma - Tuesday 15th November
  • Public Sector & EU - Wednesday 16th November 


Booking Forms will open from mid-September onwards on a rolling basis. 

  • The Booking Form can only be accessed through the events page on
  • Please go to to create your account now if you have not already done so.
  • Bookings will remain provisional until you have received an email from the Careers Service confirming your slot.
  • Bookings will be on a first come, first served basis and the form must be completed in full in order to submit your booking.
  • A maximum of two representatives per organisation can attend.
  • Every week a different sector will be represented over 1-2 days but you may only book one slot per sector.
  • Please bring just one standard size information stand (penguin stand).
  • Marketing brochures must be removed at the end of the event. Please note: there are no power points available.

For each sector, you can only book one slot. For example, Accounting & Finance is taking place on 4th & 5th October. An employer can only book for one slot over the two days, i.e., on the 4th or the 5th of October. 

Bookings will remain provisional until you have received an email from the Careers Service confirming your slot.

  • A maximum of two representatives per organisation can attend.
  1. There may be more Employers in Residence events in Semester 2 (dates to be announced).
  2. The Careers Service may also organise a Careers Fair in Feb/March 2023. If interested in attending the Careers Fair, email and we will gladly add you to the invite list. 
  3. Post your job opportunities via Students receive job alerts and the job opportunities are included in our weekly newsletter to students. 

Employers in Residence is marketed via:

  1. DCU and Faculty Instagram and social media.
  2. Weekly student newsletter sent to final years and postgraduate students every Friday.
  3. Emails from Career Consultants to relevant students groups.
  4. Digital signage throughout DCU.
  5. Careers Service events listing webpage.
  6. Email notifications sent to all faculty.
  7. We also encourage you to promote via your social media too! 


  • A standard size information stand (penguin stand)
  • Marketing material
  • Please note all marketing materials must be removed at the end of the event
  • A table and two chairs will be supplied
  • There are no power points available


It is advisable to take a taxi.

There is parking available in the multi-storey carpark. However, during semester time, parking is very limited on campus.
