The Careers Fair showcases employment opportunities to Dublin City University’s final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students

The DCU Careers Service will host over 100 companies and organisations for this year’s Careers Fair, showcasing employment opportunities to Dublin City University’s final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The Careers Fair takes place in The Helix from 29 September to 30 September, giving students the opportunity to meet prospective employers, learn about graduate job schemes, and explore future career options.

Event Schedule

The Careers Fair is structured across two days:

  • Tuesday, 29 September: Science, Technology, and Engineering
  • Wednesday, 30 September: Business, Accounting, Finance, and Law

This event contributes to the high level of graduate employability at DCU. Results from the latest Graduate Outcomes Survey indicate that 91% of DCU students are in employment or further study six to nine months after graduation. EY is the main sponsor for this year’s Careers Fair.

Yvonne McLoughlin, Head of the DCU Careers Service, said:

I am delighted to welcome over 100 leading employers to campus for this year’s DCU Careers Fair across 29 September and 30 September. This event reflects the strong, continued demand for DCU students and graduates, offering thousands of our final-year and postgraduate students direct access to high-quality graduate roles. The Fair offers a space for students across all disciplines to explore potential career pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, and Law. It provides students with an incredible opportunity to gain valuable industry insights, discover where their degree can take them, and connect with organisations where they will thrive.

Students are encouraged to do their research before attending.

Elaine Daly, DCU Careers Consultant, said:

The Graduate Careers Fair provides students with a great opportunity to connect with employers and explore the wide range of opportunities available across various sectors from their degree. This supports students in building their career knowledge, understanding how their degree relates to the world of work, and making informed, confident career decisions. Students have the opportunity to speak with various professionals from the organisations attending and learn more about their work and the roles they offer. For students to make the most of their time at the fair, preparation is key. Researching organisations attending in advance will allow students to have focused conversations and ensure they get the information they need before they decide to apply. Equipped with these insights, students are well placed to then make stronger job applications.
