Volunteering

Volunteering, aside from being good for society, benefits you as an individual. It develops skills which are thought highly of by employers. Many companies have what is termed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards their local communities. These organisations positively encourage and facilitate employees to engage meaningfully with neighbourhood groups and organisations (such as breakfast clubs and parent and toddler groups etc.). Volunteering on your CV will have a positive impact on your employment prospects.

You should check out the DCU Volunteering Website here for lots more information.
