CeIC aims to transform lives and societies through education, translational research and innovation. The CeIC focus is on the digitalisation of health care and optimising value through design science. Conducting research using Open Innovation 2.0 principles to benefit, empower and engage the citizen. Central to this approach we locate the individuals experiences of health at the centre of what we research. Aspiring to lead, our inquiry through collaboration and dissemination seeks to inform future national and international policies and standards for eHealth digital practices.
To deliver that Vision the CeIC team will collaborate with academic, Nursing, Psychotherapy & Community Health , industry leaders to deliver innovative approaches for eintegrated care provision. We want to empower people by building systems that provide continuity of care, offering access to systems for integrated service delivery anytime and anywhere, and consider how digital can deliver service improvements to users through the delivery of new model of care. We will work in parallel with the national and international agenda for pHealth through eIntegrated Care where we look globally but act locally. We will invest in our community disseminating our progress and experiences to influence policy and strategy to advance and achieve Sustainable Development Goal 3 and 4 by 2030.
So how do we deliver our Vision and Mission ?
The CeIC strategy focuses on supporting the health of people, and on health and social care delivery. We have created a research intensive environment which offers a safe space for exploration and testing, and adds value in any setting where health and social care services are needed. Working in partnership through our established networks we concentrate on service improvement through an evolving digital healthcare ecosystem.
Contributing to the development of new modes of technical and societal innovation, we underpin our research with health informatics standards. This will assist in progressing access to and use of shared data and information.
In the midst of global and national transition, CeIC researchers are working towards sustainability seeking to combine societal pull and technology push. We are partnering with organisations and considering how we can create sustainable integrated, interconnected and digitalised software and tools to bring about quality safety and effectiveness. Embracing pHealth (technologies for personal health) our intent is to contribute to solutions which are personalised participative and preventive, which support care delivery staff, including nurses, doctors, care workers and others, and which can provide health services to people anywhere and anytime.
