Dr Justin Craig of Northeastern University in Boston has been confirmed as adjunct professor with the DCU Centre for Family Business.

Justin's published research primarily focuses at the interface of individual and firm level entrepreneurialism. Empirical works have used innovation and comparative measures of firm performance as dependent variables.

He is an Associate Editor at the premier family business journal, Family Business Review, and a member of the editorial board of Journal of Family Business Strategy. In addition to these two journals, his research has appeared in Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business Management, Small Business Economics, Journal of Business Ethics, among others.

Dr. Craig’s research reflects that he is empathic to the challenges of entrepreneurial leaders charged with sustaining their ventures. To ensure his understanding, and therefore his research, is “practically relevant” he regularly facilitates training to family enterprises, their consultants and advisors in many countries including South Africa, Ireland, China, South Korea, United States, England, India, Finland, Dubai, New Zealand, and his home country Australia.

Prior to pursuing a career in academia, he worked with and for entrepreneurial business families in various capacities for a decade. He holds undergraduate degrees in Business and Psychology with Honors from Griffith University, a Counseling Masters degree and Behavioral Science PhD from Bond University.

'Dr Justin Craig is widely published and very experienced in translating his research into shared best practises. I am delighted to have Dr Craig on our team here in DCU Centre for Family Business, his involvement is an inspiration to our researchers and his practical approach will help us improve the continuous engagement with Irish family businesses' - said Centre for Family Business director Dr Eric Clinton.
