Our People

Fr Paul Hampson

Fr. Paul Hampson

Prior to his ordination by the Dublin Archdiocese in 1987, Paul worked in catering and hospitality – and hospitality remains at the heart of his work in DCU.

He has worked as a teacher and a priest at schools in Dun Laoghaire, Castledermot and Tallaght. He worked as a curate in the parish of Saints Mary & Peter in Arklow and his last appointment before joining DCU Chaplaincy was as parish priest in Lusk, County Dublin. He enjoys cooking, cinema and travel and has worked as far afield as Prince George, British Columbia, in Canada.

In addition to his direct work for DCU Chaplaincy, Paul is chaplain to St Patrick’s National School, Drumcondra, and guides the students through the sacraments of Confession, Communion and Confirmation.
