Dr Peter Admirand and the Irish Council of Christians and Jews

After serving as a Member and Secretary of the Irish Council of Christians and Jews for six years, Dr Peter Admirand recently became a co-chair (with Judith Charry) of the ICCJ, following the excellent work of their immediate predecessors, Dr Celia Kenny and Debbie Briscoe, who had previously succeeded Rev. Denis Campbell and Sr Carmel Niland. The group was founded in 1981 and is an active and affiliated member of the International Council of Christians and Jews (http://www.iccj.org/).

Most recently Dr Admirand led the group in a public seminar on Dr Philip Cunningham's new book, Seeking Shalom: The Journey to Right Relationship between Catholics and Jews (http://www.eerdmans.com/Products/7209/seeking-shalom.aspx).The event was hosted at the Friends Meeting House in Temple Bar on November 1st and was discussed at a follow-up meeting on November 21st. Their next meeting is scheduled for January 9th at 1:45 at the Rathgar Presbyterian Church.
