DCU Lumen Chorale hit the winning note

DCU Lumen Chorale won the first prize in the mixed-choir competition at Dublin's Feis Ceoil 2017 at the RDS.

Led by Dr Róisín Blunnie and Dr Seán Doherty of the School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music, it was their first time performing at Dublin's Feis Ceoil.

Their beautiful rendition of 'Kyrie' from Missa Sancti Joannis de Deo by Joseph Haydn and Esti Dal by Zoltán Kodály saw them take home the honours.

DCU Lumen Chorale is made up of students taking Music as part of DC012, the Bachelor of Religious Education and Music Programme.

The choir is led by Dr Róisín Blunnie and Dr Seán Doherty of the School of Theology, Philosophy, and Music.
