Patrick Kinsella is a lecturer in journalism. His modules in 2003-2004 are: Radio Journalism, Television Journalism, Advanced News Reporting, and Advanced Radio and Television Journalism. His research interests include developments in broadcast policy and practice, reporting of conflict and war, and journalism in emerging democracies.
Before joining DCU in 1995, Mr Kinsella worked as a correspondent and programme editor in RTE News in Dublin, and as a reporter and producer in BBC News and Current Affairs in London. He continues to freelance as a writer and broadcaster, and has been involved in a number of broadcast development projects including Dublin Weekend Radio, Radio Ireland, and the Open Broadcast television network in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
