'I really enjoyed immersing myself in each topic, reading widely, engaging in discussions with my tutors and the other students, and then using my assignments to refine and distil my learning.'

Why did you choose this particular course?

I chose the course because I was interested in philosophy and sociology and it enabled me to study both subjects through distance learning.

What aspects of this programme were most useful or valuable to you?

The course materials were comprehensive and provided a great foundation for each module. They also listed additional readings to broaden my knowledge. However, what I found most useful were the tutorials. The tutors were first class and guided me through each module. They also encouraged class discussions, which I found extremely stimulating and enjoyable.

What were your highlights of the programme?

I really enjoyed immersing myself in each topic, reading widely, engaging in discussions with my tutors and the other students, and then using my assignments to refine and distil my learning.

Did the programme create opportunities for you?  Please tell us about them?

The programme has given me the confidence to pursue my studies further. I hope to begin a Masters in the coming year.
