Isabel Camisão (University of Coimbra)
Dr Isabel Camisão is an Associate Professor at the University of Coimbra, where she also serves as Deputy Director of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Additionally, she is a Full Member of the Research Centre in Political Science (CICP). Her research focuses on EU governance, particularly on policy initiatives of the European Commission. Isabel has authored three books and several chapters about the EU, along with articles published in journals such as the JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Integration, and Contemporary European Research.

Dr Pramiti Parwani recently defended her PhD at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, where her research examined the EU’s and India’s legal and regulatory influence on access to pandemic vaccines in least-developed countries. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick in Global Health Law. She also serves as a human rights consultant with the Pharmaceutical Accountability Foundation, a Dutch non-profit organization working on issues of responsibility of pharmaceutical companies with respect to access to medicines.

Dr Charlotte Godziewski is a Senior Lecturer in International Politics and MA Programme Director, overseeing programmes in International Politics, Diplomacy, and Human Rights at City St George’s, University of London. Her research focuses on EU health governance, examining tensions between the social and economic logics of European integration and how knowledge and evidence shape health policy. Charlotte previously worked as a dietitian in Nepal, contributing to the establishment of the nutrition department at Kathmandu University (KU) Teaching Hospital, and as a policy intern at the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) while completing her MSc in Global Health at Maastricht University.

Resuscitating Multilateralism? The European Commission's Support for the World Health Organization after COVID-19

Dr Óscar Fernández is a postdoctoral researcher at Maastricht University. He is a contributor to the Horizon Europe project "ENSURED", which focuses on how the European Union (EU) and its member states can transform global governance. His research sits primarily at the intersection of EU external action and global health governance, but also addresses other policy fields, such as security and defence. Óscar obtained his PhD in Politics, Policies and International Relations at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with a dissertation on the EU's role as a global health actor. Prior to joining Maastricht University, he held positions at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), Esade and its Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics (EsadeGeo), and the World Health Organization’s Barcelona Office for Health Systems Strengthening.
