Funded by Research Ireland, this study is interested in finding out more about children’s opinions of translated and foreign language picturebooks, and whether their attitudes change when they approach texts using a creative-critical approach to translation in a translanguaging space. It aims to deepen understanding about children’s needs and capabilities, promote interest in literature and languages other than English, and learn more about how to create a successful learning experience for children, teachers and translators when using children’s literature from other languages.
