A Celtic Journey of the Heart

As part of the ANAM 2019 festival, DCU is proud to be supporting two important events taking place on Monday 1st April, both of which are in aid of St. Francis Hospice, honouring 30 years of care in the North Dublin Community.

A Celtic Journey of the Heart is a workshop and recital, led by renowned teacher and spiritual director Deirdre Ní Chinnéide.

Deirdre Ní Chinnéide will perform music that was specially written for use in palliative care settings. This event will also feature contributions from the DCU Access Schools Pop-up Choir, Yvonne Crotty and Ciaran Coll. Pianist and composer, Diarmuid J Kennedy, will also perform a piano solo inspired by the beach in Portmarnock called ‘The Velvet Strand’ https://youtu.be/HvoTW21xOds.
