Celebrating Creativity: DCU’s Student Arts Bursary Awardees celebrated at DCU Student Impact Awards

This year, DCU’s Student Arts Bursary Award has celebrated the incredible creativity and passion of our students, supporting their artistic journeys through funding that will help bring their ideas to life.

The award, a partnership between the Office of Student Life, DCU Educational Trust, and DCU Arts and Culture, is all about fostering excellence and encouraging students to explore and develop their artistic talents.

The bursary aims to support students at all stages of their creative journey, whether they’re just starting out, already building a professional practice or simply enjoy the arts as a hobby. This year, the recipients received funding for a wide range of creative materials - including new camera equipment, dance shoes, music lessons, graphic design software, body paint, and even the publication costs for a literary journal.

Congratulations to all the talented students recognised this year:  Melissa Campana, Ruairi Condra, Ana Murphy, Charlie Goodliffe, Ciara Stell, Colum Gartland, Therese Blayney, Matthew Cullen, Niamh Hannan, Maria Smau, Catherine Tsvikovych, Dearbhla McCormick, Matthew Surkov, Lauren Clerkin, Katie Larkin, Ellie Cunnane, Michael Zholob, Sophie Byrne, Shaney McConnon, Christopher Lovett, and Ava Thompson.

We look forward to seeing how their work continues to inspire and shape both our university and the wider community.
