“I have spent eleven months working as a support for a busy Engineering and Supply Chain recruitment team in CPL Resources. I have thoroughly enjoyed the INTRA experience and I feel that it has really focused me in the run up to my final year in college.

In my role I am responsible for supporting my team during all stages of the recruitment process. Day-to-day this means understanding our clients’ needs in order to source the best candidates; interviewing and preparing candidates over the phone and in face-to-face interviews; drafting advertisements; scheduling client interviews as well as completing individual projects for my manager and team members.

Recruitment is a very fast paced environment that’s always changing, which is what I enjoy most, as well as getting to meet with and deal with new and different people everyday.

In the context of my degree I have really benefited from the year’s work experience in terms of gaining a huge amount of industry knowledge. I am now much more aware of my options as I go ahead and make my choice of specialisation for final year. I also feel reassured that I can see the theory that I have studied being put into practice every day.

Working in a recruitment environment, I am confident in the security that having a year’s experience on my CV when I graduate will give me compared to other graduates.”
