Dcugaa.tv launches with live DCU Dóchas Éireann third level games across all codes
We are delighted to launch our streaming service for games across all codes in DCU
Dóchas Éireann in association with Performa TV. Over the course of the season we
will be bringing a minimum of fifteen games to subscribers, a mixture of both league
and Championship encounters. These games will be across all codes in Camogie,
Gaelic Football, Hurling & Ladies Football. You can find the website here dcugaa.tv
We are bringing third level games to home across the country for various reasons.
The recent successes of Clubber, Stream Sport and other streaming platforms,
shows the interest that people have in watching high quality games and our games
will provide a midweek fix. In DCU and across our DCU Dóchas Éireann teams we
are lucky to have players from all corners of the country, dcugaa.tv is providing the
opportunity for their family, friends and clubmates to watch them from the comfort of
their homes and parishes across the country as the harsh Irish winter sets in.
The season pass covering all games is available now at €50, while games
individually are available for €6.
Our first batch of games in the next two weeks include.
- Senior Football Div One v UCD in Belfield on Wednesday October 15 th @
19:45
- Fresher Football Div One v TUD in DCU on Thursday October 16 th @ 19:45
- Fresher Hurling Div One v UCD in DCU on Tuesday October 21 st @ 18:30
- Senior Camogie Div One v TUD in DCU on Tuesday October 21 st @ 20:00
All these games are available for €6 on dcugaa.tv
We also have a bonus of a number of past games on the platform, where users can
view some great games from recent years. The opening round of the 2025 Sigerson
Cup against MTU Kerry is available to watch, where our Sigerson side got their
ultimately successful campaign off the ground with a home win against the Tralee
based outfit, with the likes of Tom Prior (Leitrim) and Ethan Dunne (Dublin) showing
from the outset of the competition why they were rewarded with Higher Education All
Stars. The 2019 Fresher A Football Final is also available where a battle of the
sharpshooters ensued, as Oisin Gallen (Donegal) and Tommy Conroy (Mayo),
battled it out in Tubberclair. The 2023 O’Rourke Cup Final against UCC is available,
where the attacking talents of the likes of Emma Duggan (Meath), Kate Kenny
(Offaly) and Emma Morrissey (Tipperary) are on show despite torrential rain and wind. The 2022 Senior Hurling Division One League final against NUIG is available,
where the attacking talents off Rory O’Connor (Wexford) & Ronan Hayes (Dublin)
and others weren’t enough to stop the Galway side land the title on home soil in
Dangan. Our senior hurlers also have a 2020 clash with UL, where the talents of the
Burke’s, Conor and Donal from Dublin and James from Kildare were on show
against the likes Kyle Hayes (Limerick) and Bryan O’Mara (Tipperary), as DCU
Dóchas Éireann came out on top. Then an epic Camogie encounter between
ourselves and UCC in Pilltown, Kilkenny that required extra time to separate the
sides is available. This intense semi final was on a knife edge throughout, as we
managed to scrap over the line before landing our first Ashbourne Cup in 2022.
The continued growth of streaming at third level is welcomed, as there are so many
quality games that don’t get the platform or recognition warranted. Our friends in
Queens already have a similar platform and UL now also have the same for the year
ahead.
Considering the quality of players on show across all codes, there is likely to be
some classic encounters on hand during the year. There is also a sponsorship
opportunity for the platform, if interested please reach out to our Head of Gaelic
Games by e-mail paulobrien.gaa@dcu.ie
