Dublin City University’s Qualcomm Scholarship Award Ceremony 2026

QT Technologies Ireland Ltd. (Qualcomm Ireland), has partnered with DCU to support this prestigious scholarship through financial contributions, demonstrating a strong commitment to developing a diverse pipeline of engineering talent and empowering future innovators. Qualcomm is globally recognised for its pioneering work in semiconductors, software, and wireless technologies, with key patents underpinning 4G and 5G mobile communications. With around 800 engineers based in Ireland, Qualcomm Ireland is known for its inclusive workplace culture and its long-standing engagement with Irish universities to help cultivate the next generation of engineering leaders.

The Qualcomm Research Scholarship offers selected students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art research lab over a seven week summer placement. Participants work a paid 32-hour week, providing meaningful industry exposure that can significantly enhance their future career prospects. This year’s recipients, Eoghan Crotty and David Nasralla, were selected in recognition of their exceptional potential, dedication, and talent in engineering.

Engineering research plays a vital role in driving innovation, improving efficiency, and developing technologies that address complex global challenges.
