This Spring, the Centre of Engaged Research shall host a new webinar series entitled ‘Sharing Knowledge’. This series’ aims are twofold; to showcase the exemplary Engaged Research being conducted at DCU and to offer a platform for shared learning so researchers may incorporate an Engaged Research practice in their respective fields. There is a need to share knowledge on how Engaged Research is conducted as technological advancements and innovative techniques offer new ways to discover information. This series will demonstrate Engaged Research as inclusive of various types of knowledge and models of research, and showcase where Engaged Research methodologies have been utilised to collaborate, co-create and form meaningful partnerships with communities.

- Webinars will take place on the final Thursday of each month from January to April 2023.

- Running time of each webinar will be approximately 45 minutes.

- All webinars will be recorded and made available on the Centre for Engaged Research YouTube channel and website

For this series, we will aim to create a fireside chat environment where the mediator's and audience's participation play a key role in how the webinar plays out. The presenter will speak for approx. 20 mins on a recent project or area of interest. There will be a strong focus on the methodologies used and the speaker's experience in utilising an Engaged Research practice. This will be done to create a platform for shared learning so fellow researches in a similar field may learn to conduct Engaged Research effectively. Questions will be encouraged from the audiences while the mediator will also query the speakers' practice and the Engage Research elements they utilised. If audience members wish to remain anonymous or cannot attend on the day questions may be shared with the mediator before each webinar at luke.quinlan@dcu.ie
