Marina Carr, Olympian!

Marina Carr from The School of English is a literary Olympian, officially! Her  adaptation of Carlo Goldoni's Mirandolina premiered last week in Belluno and moves on to Venice this weekend. The Abbey Theatre is touring the production across Northern Italy, Croatia and Ireland in collaboration with Theatro Stabile del Veneto as part of the cultural celebrations of the Winter Olympiad in Milan-Cortina. The production will come to the Abbey Theatre in late August 2026. If you cannot wait until then, there is always Italy....
