2015 Daniel O'Hare PhD Scholarship
In honour of the contribution of its founding president Dr Daniel O'Hare, four PhD scholarships are being offered to commence in the 2015-16 academic year. One scholarship will be awarded per DCU Faculty: one in the Faculty of Science and Health, one in the Faculty of Engineering and Computing, one in DCU Business School and one in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
ALL successful candidates in the four faculties will be known as “Faculty/Daniel O'Hare Scholars” and will be paid a stipend of €16,000 p.a. for four years in addition to payment of their DCU fees for four years. DCU Business School and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences may include provision from their own resources for research expenses.

The DCU Business School Daniel O’Hare scholarship opportunity has been integrated with the DCUBS postgraduate research scholarships call which closes at 12midday (GMT) on Wednesday 10th June. Scholars applying for the DCUBS O’Hare scholarship should apply using the DCUBS application form, and according to the DCUBS Guidelines for Applicants. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Daniel O’Hare scholarship opportunity has been integrated with the Faculty postgraduate research scholarship schemes, closing on Friday 15th May.
The scholarship awards in both the Faculty of Science and Health and Faculty of Engineering and Computing will require completion of the Daniel O’Hare PhD Scholarship Scheme 2015 application form (below). These scholarships will fund research aligned with DCU's Research and Innovation Strategy (a constituent strategy of the DCU strategic plan ‘Transforming Lives and Societies’). Please see below Guidelines for Applicants and the DCU Research and Innovation Strategy booklet. The deadline for these applications is 12midday (GMT) on Wednesday 10th June.
