Our dedicated Mental Health Nurse is available to provide focused support, offering a safe space to discuss your concerns and develop practical strategies for your well-being.
Our Services
The Student Health Centre offers a clinical pathway to support your mental health through evidence-based interventions and professional guidance. Our services include:
• Mental Health Nurse Consultations: Specialized support for a wide range of concerns, including stress management, anxiety, low mood, and OCD.
• Skill-Building & Tools: One-to-one sessions focused on developing practical coping mechanisms and psychological tools to manage your daily mental health.
• Specialist Support: Guidance and monitoring for more complex concerns, such as eating disorders and severe mental illness.
• Integrated Medical Care: Direct access to GP services to ensure a holistic approach to your physical and mental well-being.
• Streamlined Referrals: Collaborative care planning with external specialist services when a higher level of clinical intervention is required.
Accessing the Service
To ensure you receive the most appropriate level of care, access to our Mental Health Nurse is managed through our GP service.
1. Book a GP Appointment: Schedule an initial consultation with one of our campus GPs.
2. Clinical Assessment: Your GP will discuss your concerns with you in a confidential setting.
3. Referral: If appropriate, your GP will provide a direct referral to our Mental Health Nurse for ongoing support and skill-building.
