Report on intergenerational learning

The ASEM LLL Hub, established in 2005, is an official network of Asian and European higher education institutions, working and learning together to achieve excellence in comparative research on lifelong learning, to offer research-based education policy recommendation, and to develop mutual understanding between Asia and Europe. It also facilitates researcher and student mobility and exchange within and between the two world regions.

In 2020, the LLL-Hub transferred from Denmark to Ireland for a five year period, with support from the Government of Ireland and UCC.

The LL-Hub comprises a number of research networks (RN). As a first contribution to the work of RN4, on national policies relating to lifelong learning, Professor Maria Slowey, Director, HERC worked with Professor Zenaida Reyes, College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research, Philippine Normal University and colleagues in the LLL-Hub, to compile a series of case studies from eight countries on the topic of intergenerational learning.
