Celebrating our new PhD graduates
The School of History and Geography is delighted to celebrate the accomplishments of our two newest PhD graduates.
Dr. Cathal Burke O’Leary was awarded his doctorate for his thesis State-building in post-independence Ireland and India, supervised by Dr. Marnie Hay.
Dr. John Hogan also received his doctorate award at the same cermony for a thesis on ‘Empowering the laity’: new perspectives on the foundation and development of the Legion of Mary, 1921–62, under the supervision of Dr. Daithí Ó Corráin.
Both theses make significant contributions to the understanding of twentieth-century history, providing insights on political, religious, and societal transformation. We're immensely proud of their achievements and extend congratulations to both new doctors and to our colleagues, Marnie and Daithí.
