Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival
The Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival returns to DCU with three days of remarkable music for their 13th series from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th November 2025.
Curated by the internationally acclaimed ‘virtuosic Fidelio Trio’ (Sunday Times), who bring world-class live chamber music performances to some of North Dublin’s most iconic settings at DCU Belvedere House and the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland.
We are privileged to have the amazing Fidelio Trio join us again for this festival.
This year’s festival celebrates dialogue across time and place: from the intimacy of Schumann’s Romanticism to the vitality of contemporary Irish composition, from the stillness of a tree seen through a window at the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, to the vast, surging expanse of the wind and sea.
Friday 28th: A concert celebrating Clara Schumann that includes music by our DCU colleague Rhona Clarke.
Saturday 29th: A world premiere by local Drumcondra based composer Nick Roth in the beautiful gallery space at the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland.
A free pre-concert film screening of Fidelio Trio and dance in MacMillan’s interpretation of Hamlet’s ‘Sea of Troubles’, followed by the evening concert at where the composer Simon Mawhinney introduces his new piece ‘In Three’ alongside music by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Malaysian composer Tazul Tajuddin.
Sunday 30th: Final concert The Wind and Sea.
