Digital Transformation in Chinese Language Education: The Road to Education 4.0
We are delighted to announce CASLAR’s (Chinese as a Second Language Research) first special issue entitled: Digital Transformation in Chinese Language Education: The Road to Education 4.0《中文教育的数字化升级:迈向教育4.0之路. Bringing together diverse scholarly perspectives from 11 authors across predominantly Europe and the USA, this collection explores the digital transformation of Chinese language education through the lens of Education 4.0.
Three English-language papers and three Chinese-language papers explore a range of topics and themes that move beyond micro-level challenges in the digital transformation of Chinese language education, focusing instead on the more holistic integration of various technologies. In addition, the papers not only look at the development of Chinese language skills with such technologies, but also the development of digital literacy skills, which is a key component of Education 4.0.
