DCU Student comes 2nd in the Chinese Bridge Competition

The Chinese Bridge (Chinese Language and Culture) Competition, led by Chinese Embassy, was held on 14th April 2019.

One of our DCU students, Jade Smyth, was awarded the second place in this national competition.

She gave a speech on the China and Ireland relations with a focus on the 'One Belt One Road' initiative. As part of the competition, she also performed two Chinese songs.

Jade Smyth is currently a fourth year student learning Chinese. She was also one of the winners in the 'Voice of DCU - A Chinese Singing Event' hosted in the LanguaCulture Space, SALIS.
