Since 2011 the Centre has organised national and international research events to support professionals in a range of work contexts.

2013 Research Events
A facilitated online course took place in September 2014 using a computational approach to support different forms of inquiry.
June 11th and 12th. An International event for Primary School teachers in collaboration with NUCLIO Portugal to help inspire Science in the primary and post-primary curriculum using Cosmos in your Backpack' resources.
May 11th. Computational models and simulations. A seminar & workshop for educators from all levels of the education system at the ICT in Education Conference, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
April 13th. A videoconference in collaboration with our Pathway partner, CERN. Presentation at the Irish Science Teachers Association conference in Gorey, Co. Wexford.
March 12th (9am-3pm) Teacher Education seminar and workshop on a Computational approach to Inquiry Based Science Education in collaboration with our Pathway partner Shodor Institute, USA. Venue: Dublin City University.
March 13th Initial teacher education seminar and workshop (9.30am-12.30am). Initial Teacher Education workshop (2pm-4pm).
February 22nd. Computational Science. A presentation for primary and post-primary teachers at the CESI Conference 'Back to our Future' held in Galway.

September 2012. Study day on Action Research in collaboration with the Collaborative Action Research Network (CARN), UK.
April 4th and 11th. 6.30pm-8.30pm. Introduction to Second Life (SL), a 3D virtual world with Sabrina Fitzsimons. This session will take place in SL!
March 28th 2012. 6.30-8.30pm. Webinar (Online Seminar). Games for Learning with Siddharth Jain, Chief Creative Director of Playware Studios Asia and Part Time Faculty at Nanyang Technology University, Singapore.
March 7th, 2012. Racing Academy. Making use of simulation and online communication facilities to create a complex, challenging and engaging learning environment.
