Car Sharing/Go Car
Car sharing is where two or more people share a car journey to get from A to B rather than driving alone. The benefits can be financial (as the cost of the journey is split), environmental, and can also reduce stress (through not driving every day).
Car sharing is becoming increasingly popular as these benefits are recognised, and many communities and employers are introducing car sharing schemes.
In a recent survey 27% of DCU respondants said they would be interested in car sharing.
DCU and DCU SU have registered on www.carsharing.ie . The scheme allows you to enter your start point and destination along with information such as whether you’re offering or requesting a lift. You can also choose to share just one day a week or every day, the system is totally flexible
