Dr. Shane Murphy awarded Research Ireland Enterprise Partnership postdoctoral fellowship
Dr Shane Murphy
Dr. Shane Murphy is the proud recipient of a Research Ireland Enterprise Fellowship postdoctoral programme. Shane’s project, titled Masc Up: Engaging Boys in Tackling the Impact of Masculinity Influencers on Attitudes to Sexual and Gender Based Violence, could not be more timely. This project is funded by Research Ireland and the Men’s Development Network, and Shane will be mentored by Prof. Debbie Ging in DCU and Dr. Kenny Doyle from the Men’s Development Network.
This exciting and timely work will be supported by a truly stellar expert advisory board comprising Prof. Sonia Livingstone, Prof. Michael Flood, Lewis Wedlock, Dr. Daniel Guinness, Sarah Benson, Eoghan Cleary, Dr Grace Lockrobin, Dr. Cliona Saidlear, Dr. Fiona Whelan, Alex Cooney and Jane McGarrigle.
Shane joins a growing team of PhDs and postdoctoral fellows working on male supremacism, misogyny and the manosphere in the Institute for Research on Genders and Sexualities, including Dr. Verónica Ferreira, Dr. Dr. Catherine Baker Baker, Anna Iñigo and in the DCU Anti-Bullying Centre Deniz Çelikoğlu.
