DCU, St Patrick's Campus

The Fidelio Trio are delighted to return to DCU, St Patrick’s Campus after a wonderfully creative three-year Artists-in-Residence programme to present their annual Winter Chamber Music Festival at Belvedere House, DCU, St Patrick’s Campus, from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th December 2015.

This year’s programme includes a French thread with iconic works such as Ravel’s monumental Piano Trio, new arrangements for piano trio of Debussy's La Mer and Satie's piano music as well as music by Dukas and Poulenc. The Fidelio Trio will honour the heroism of that force of nature , Ludwig van Beethoven, and are excited to give the Irish premiere of a new work by Benjamin Dwyer written for them which they recently premiered in King's Place, London.

Continuing their tradition of inviting guest international soloists, this year they welcome: leading Irish flautist William Dowdall, clarinettist Carol McGonnell with whom they have previously collaborated on a number of occasions and renowned French Horn soloist Richard Watkins, Nash Ensemble member, with whom they have also recorded for NMC.

The Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival is sponsored by Dublin City University and is presented by DCU, St Patrick’s Campus Music Department in association with GlasDrum.
