International Journal of Bullying Prevention Achieves Q1 Scopus Ranking
The International Journal of Bullying Prevention (IJBP), based in DCU Institute of Education since its establishment in 2019, has achieved a significant milestone with the release of the 2025 Scopus CiteScore.
The journal’s 2025 CiteScore has increased to 6.3, up from 5.7 in 2024. IJBP has also improved its ranking across all three Scopus categories in which it is listed:
- 58/744 in Social Sciences (Miscellaneous)
- 62/380 in Developmental and Educational Psychology
- 56/315 in Social Psychology
These rankings place IJBP in Quartile 1 across all three subject categories.
This achievement reflects the growing international profile and impact of the journal, which publishes high-quality research on bullying prevention, school wellbeing, peer relations, online safety, inclusion, and related fields.
Professor James O’Higgins Norman, Editor-in-Chief of IJBP and UNESCO Chair on Bullying and Cyberbullying at DCU, welcomed the news and thanked the many colleagues who have supported the journal since 2019, including Editorial Managers, authors, peer reviewers, and members of the wider scholarly community.
